    Welcome To The Seasonal Woman

Honour the season you’re in.

Exploring seasonal living, inner seasons and the seasons of life through my reflections, stories from a southern hemisphere lens.

A smiling woman with short blonde hair, wearing purple earrings and a turquoise floral top, sitting at a table with Play-Doh containers in front of her, in a room with colorful pillows and a bouquet of pink flowers in the background.

A few years ago, I started noticing that my energy, priorities and needs weren't the same all year round.

They ebbed and flowed regardless of the physical season outside the home or the life changes going on within my life.

Sometimes I needed rest. Other times I was bursting at the seam with new ideas and ready to start something new. Then there were times where I found myself reflecting, and letting go. Then the rising of energy to “get things” done.

I learned to listen to what I needed and began to respond accordingly. I experimented and discovered practices that supported me.

I am so passionate about this that I created The Seasonal Woman — a space where I explore seasonal living, our inner and life seasons and what it means to work with these seasons rather than against them through my reflections and stories and lessons through my writing.

Hi, I’m Janine

The Seasonal Woman is built around three simple concepts, the physical seasons, our inner seasons and the seasons of life we experience.

You can read about these topics and how I navigate and work with them.

The Seasons of the Year

Finding inspiration in the natural flow of autumn, winter, spring and summer from a southern hemisphere view.

Inner Seasons

Learning to recognise whether you're in a season of rest, reflection, renewal or rise.

Seasons of Life

Navigating life's transitions, changes and new chapters with curiosity and self-compassion.
